Respected Secretary Lai Hairong, President Lan Siren, Academician Xie Lianhui, leaders and teachers, dear fellow students:
hello everyone! Today, I stand here with great excitement as an alumnus and feel extremely honored. Here, as a representative of alumni, I extend my warmest congratulations to the graduating class of 2025 who have successfully completed their studies! To the teachers who have diligently nurtured you and the parents who have silently supported you, we extend our sincerest respect!
I am Liu Hao, the President of the Beijing Alumni Association of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and the Chairman of Beijing Pauway Energy Technology Co., Ltd. I entered the Department of Soil Chemistry at Fujian Agricultural University in 1984. After graduating in 1988, I returned to Fu'an City, Fujian Province and worked in the Soil and Water Conservation Office, the Municipal People's Congress Office, and even served as the township head in Fankeng Township, Fu'an City. In 2001, I resolutely chose to start my own business and founded Beijing Pauway Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in 2003. Based in Beijing, the company has set up its factory in Beichen District, Tianjin, as a global provider of comprehensive electric energy solutions. After more than 20 years of hard work, our products and services have now spread to more than 80 countries and regions, actively responding to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, and contributing to lighting up the world and promoting the global electric energy industry.
Looking back on my time at my alma mater, it was the most precious and unforgettable time of my life. Every blade of grass and every tree on campus, the sound of books in the classroom, the focused exploration in the laboratory, and the sweat on the sports field have all become indispensable beautiful memories in my life. My alma mater not only taught me professional knowledge, but also endowed me with the courage to explore and innovate, the indomitable will, and the responsibility to serve society. It is under the nourishment of my alma mater that I am able to constantly embrace challenges and realize my self-worth on the path of life after graduation.
Today, you are about to bid farewell to campus and embark on a new journey. Standing at a new starting point in life, as a senior, I would like to give you some advice.
Firstly, I hope you hold onto your dreams and stick to your original aspirations.
Dreams are the sun of life, they can illuminate our path forward. No matter what job or environment you will be in in the future, don't forget your ideals and pursuits. Perhaps on the road to realizing your dreams, you may encounter setbacks and difficulties, but please remember that every fall is an opportunity for growth, and every persistence will bring you closer to your dreams. To be like the resilient seeds cultivated by one's alma mater, no matter where they are sown, they can take root, sprout, and grow strong in the field they love.
Secondly, maintain a passion for lifelong learning.
In today's era, technology is developing rapidly and knowledge is updated at an extremely fast pace. Leaving campus does not mean the end of learning, but the beginning of another form of learning. I hope you can always maintain curiosity and thirst for knowledge about new knowledge and things, and constantly improve your abilities and literacy. Whether it is the improvement of professional skills or the expansion of comprehensive qualities, it requires you to persistently learn. Only in this way can we stand undefeated in fierce competition and become innovative talents that adapt to the development of the times.
Thirdly, be brave enough to take on social responsibility.
The students trained by Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University have always had a passion for serving society and contributing to the country. From agricultural technology promotion to rural revitalization and construction, from ecological environment protection to agricultural technology innovation, there are agricultural and forestry students everywhere. I hope you will inherit the fine traditions of your alma mater, closely link your personal development with the destiny of the country, shine in your own positions, give back to society with the knowledge and skills you have learned, and contribute the wisdom and strength of agricultural and forestry people to promote social progress.
Finally, I hope you can often visit your alma mater.
Our alma mater will always be our warmest harbor and our strong backing. Here are memories of your youth, teachers who accompanied you in your growth, and classmates who fought together. No matter how far you go or how high you fly, your alma mater will always pay attention to and support you.
Entering society, sometimes emotional intelligence is more important than intelligence, and choice is more important than diligence! Looking forward to seeing your confident smiles again on campus in the future and hearing the good news of your success!
Congratulations again to all the graduates of the class of 2025! May your future be bright and promising!
