Many sewage treatment facilities use waste gas generated from wastewater treatment or biogas digester gas as a fuel source for power generation units (gas engines). This gas is mainly composed of methane and carbon dioxide produced by the wastewater digestion tank used in the water treatment process. Then, these exhaust gases are captured and utilized by the PAUWAY biogas engine to provide electricity and heat for the factory's digesters or other heat loads.


The calorific value of the exhaust gas ranges from 6 to 6.4 kWh/m3, and fluctuates based on the methane content of its organic raw materials. The heat generated during the power generation process is used as process heat for wastewater treatment plants, thereby saving additional energy costs.
