Utilization of fuel resources

The gas/well gas/shale gas power generation unit developed by PAUWAY. The method of using this gas as an alternative fuel can help:

Improving Mine Safety

Reduce the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere

Reduce electricity costs and increase revenue

PAUWAY provides the following support for your power plant project:

Professional knowledge in the development and planning of large-scale projects

Logistics and technical installation support

On site maintenance

We provide gas engines for gas/well gas/shale gas methane:

Customized motor control for managing continuous fluctuations in methane gas content

A fuel system that can process gas at very low pressure, which is a typical mine ventilation system

Coal mine gas - both ecological and economic

Coal mine methane is a byproduct formed by underground coal seams, which is released before or during coal mining. The methane emissions from coal mines worldwide are equivalent to approximately 400 million tons (28 billion cubic meters) of carbon dioxide. This is equivalent to consuming 818 million barrels of oil or 64 million passenger cars emitting carbon dioxide.

The recovery and utilization of exhaust gas through methane energy engineering can significantly reduce methane emissions in mining areas. Methane is isolated and used as fuel for reciprocating gas engine generator sets. This mature and validated technology is very effective in reducing gas emissions and generating electricity. After recovering methane from the ground, it is stored in large containers and pre-treated for use in gas engines. Pre treatment includes dust and particle filtration, gas drying, and transportation to the on-site power generation unit through pressure controlled fuel pipelines.

Coalbed methane, coal mine gas, and abandoned mine gas have a high methane content of up to 30% to 95%, making them suitable for use in gas engines. The CH4 content of methane in the ventilated air ranges from 0.2 to 1.5%, making it unsuitable for use in gas engine power generation.

By using coal mine gas with a methane concentration of up to 30%, harmful methane that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere can be converted into useful energy.

The use of coal mine gas in gas engines has dual advantages: firstly, methane is converted into carbon dioxide during combustion, reducing its harm to the environment by 25 times. Secondly, up to 90% of the energy in methane can be converted into electrical and thermal energy.
