Project Background & Contract Award

Bolivia is one of the world’s major potash producers. The local potash plant is located in a remote island area, far away from the public power grid, and relies on an independent power plant to ensure production continuity. Potash production has extremely high requirements for power supply stability and safety, and needs a complete supporting power supply and oil supply system. Beijing Pauway Energy (implemented by Tianjin Pauway Power) won the project with mature island power generation technology, rich experience in overseas industrial projects and complete equipment supporting capabilities, equipped with 8 PWM2500HVCLR generator sets, 2 high-voltage cabinet containers and 1 set of oil tank and oil circuit system, fully meeting the power supply needs of the potash plant’s island production.

The project adopts 8 high-performance PWM2500HVCLR diesel generator sets, which are stable in operation, quick in start-up and strong in anti-interference ability, adapting to the island working condition without power grid linkage, and providing continuous and stable power output for potash plant production. It is supported by 2 high-voltage cabinet containers, which are responsible for power distribution, protection and regulation to ensure power supply safety; 1 set of oil tank and oil circuit system realizes diesel storage, transportation and supply, providing reliable guarantee for the continuous operation of generator sets. The whole system integrates intelligent monitoring function, which can real-time monitor the equipment operation status and timely warn of faults.

Project Positioning

An exclusive island power plant for the Bolivia potash plant, undertaking the independent power supply task for the full-process production of the potash plant. Without relying on the external power grid, it needs to realize self-power supply and self-regulation. The equipment has undergone high and low temperature resistance and dust resistance treatment, adapting to the potash plant production environment and local plateau climate characteristics.
