Pauway Story

PWC diesel generator for National Highway No.1 Construction in Republic of the Congo

Power Supply Project for National Highway No.1 Construction in Republic of the Congo

PAUWAY supplied PWC series diesel generator sets to support the construction of National Highway No.1 in the Republic of the Congo, providing distributed temporary power guarantee for scattered construction sections, engineering machinery, on-site camp living facilities and monitoring equipment along the whole 536km trunk line of this landmark infrastructure project.

Project Background & Tender Award

Congo (Brazzaville) National Highway No.1 stretches 536 kilometers, linking the capital Brazzaville and the economic hub Pointe-Noire, passing through virgin rainforests, river valleys, plateaus and coastal plains with extremely harsh construction conditions. Most sections are far away from urban areas with no municipal power grid coverage. Scattered working faces require portable and reliable generator equipment to ensure normal operation of road rollers, mixers, drainage pumps, construction lighting and staff living areas throughout the long-term construction period.

Core Technology & Equipment Configuration

Generating Units

The PWC series units cover a complete power range to match differentiated electricity demands of different construction segments. Multiple units are deployed in a distributed layout along the long route, which can be flexibly relocated between working points according to construction progress, perfectly adapting to the mobile construction mode of long-distance highway engineering.

Project Positioning

Mobile distributed temporary power system for the whole-line highway project, solving the off-grid power shortage problem in remote wild construction zones and supporting the continuous advancement of earthwork, bridge erection and pavement paving procedures.

Equipment Features

  • Multiple power specifications optional, flexibly matching single-site small load and large mechanical concentrated load
  • Compact structure and convenient hoisting & transportation, suitable for frequent transfer in rugged forest and mountain terrain
  • Upgraded moisture-proof and heat-dissipation structure to cope with tropical rainforest high temperature, high humidity and rainy seasonal environment
  • Strong dust and mud resistance, adapting to muddy and dusty open construction sites
  • Optional silent canopy version to reduce noise interference to surrounding primitive ecological environment

Project Significance & Challenges

Project Value

PAUWAY PWC series generators delivered stable off-grid power support for this flagship Belt and Road infrastructure project, effectively guaranteeing the orderly construction progress of the “Dream Road” of the Republic of the Congo, and expanding the brand influence of PAUWAY in key African infrastructure engineering fields.

Execution Challenges

Completed cross-border sea transportation and inland rugged road delivery; optimized air intake and filtration system to prevent rainwater and silt intrusion in rainy seasons; provided long-distance remote after-sales technical guidance for field maintenance and fault troubleshooting under isolated construction conditions.
