Pauway Story:Gas Power Generation Project for Gas Field in Colombia
Gas Power Generation Project for Gas Field in Colombia
PAUWAY supplied 2 units of containerized PWGC series gas generator sets for a gas field project in Colombia, with a single unit rated power of 300KW, 60Hz and 480V, providing reliable on-site power guarantee for gas extraction, processing and transmission operations.
Project Background & Tender Award
Most gas fields are located in remote areas where municipal power grid coverage is insufficient. Adopting field associated gas for on-site power generation can effectively reduce power supply costs, lower energy consumption and carbon emissions, and ensure continuous and stable power supply for well site equipment, safety monitoring systems and auxiliary production facilities.
Core Technology & Equipment Configuration
Generating Units
The project is equipped with two containerized PWGC series gas generator sets, each with rated power of 300KW, rated frequency of 60Hz and rated voltage of 480V, which fully conform to the local American standard power grid specifications in Colombia and can use wellhead associated gas as fuel for clean on-site power generation.
Project Positioning
Containerized distributed self-power supply station for natural gas field, realizing efficient recycling of associated gas, and providing uninterrupted power for the whole production process of gas exploitation and gathering transportation.
Equipment Features
- Integrated container design, convenient for rapid transportation, installation and commissioning in remote well sites
- 300KW single unit power, 60Hz/480V, perfectly matching local power grid technical standards
- High fuel utilization efficiency, low exhaust emission, energy-saving and environmentally friendly, adapting to tropical field working conditions
Project Significance & Challenges
Project Value
The containerized gas power station realizes the resource utilization of wellhead associated gas, effectively cuts down the power operation cost of the gas field, ensures the safe and continuous operation of mining equipment, and fulfills local environmental protection and carbon reduction requirements.
Execution Challenges
Completed gas component adaptive debugging and 60Hz American standard electrical parameter calibration, and the container structure was optimized for dust prevention, heat dissipation and rainproof to adapt to complex outdoor field environments in Colombia.
