An industrial park in Nigeria adopted PAUWAY PWGM1250 gas generator set with a single unit power of 1MW. The quantity of generating units can be flexibly increased or decreased along with the park’s construction and development, which effectively lowers the upfront investment pressure. As a core product of PAUWAY gas power product line, PWGM series is equipped with MWM 3016 gas engine and fully manufactured and assembled by PAUWAY. It features high generating efficiency, stable & reliable operation and low long-term operation cost.

Project Background & Tender Award

Local public power grid in Nigeria is unstable with frequent power outages, which severely restricts continuous production of enterprises inside industrial parks. Most industrial zones adopt natural gas or associated gas as fuel for on-site power generation to achieve self-sufficient power supply. In the early stage of park construction, the power load is relatively low, while electricity demand will keep rising as more factories settle in. Phased capacity expansion mode can avoid excessive idle equipment and greatly optimize capital input structure.

Generating Units

The project introduces PWGM1250 gas generator set with rated single-unit power of 1MW. The unit is driven by mature MWM 3016 gas engine, with complete whole machine design, assembly and production finished by PAUWAY Energy. The park can add more identical units according to the growth of production scale and power consumption demand, realizing modular capacity expansion without one-time large-scale investment.

Completed adaptive debugging for local gas composition and pressure fluctuation, realized parallel grid-connected control between multiple units, optimized dustproof and heat dissipation structure to adapt to high temperature and dusty working environment in Nigeria.
