PWB1375 for Mining Customer in Russia
PWB1375 for Mining Customer in Russia
PAUWAY supplied 2 units of PWB1375C diesel generator sets to a mining client in Russia, with rated parameters of 400V and 50Hz. The units are equipped with Baudouin engines, and targeted structural and program optimization is carried out specifically to adapt to the local low-temperature severe cold environment.
Project Background & Tender Award
Most mining areas in Russia are located in high-latitude frigid zones with long winters and extremely low ambient temperature. Conventional generator sets are prone to difficulties in cold start, insufficient lubrication and power attenuation under low temperature conditions. Mining production requires uninterrupted power supply for excavation equipment, drainage systems and safety monitoring devices, so low-temperature adaptive customization is a core technical requirement of the order.
Core Technology & Equipment Configuration
Generating Units
The project is equipped with two PWB1375C generator sets adopting Baudouin engine as power core, standard 400V 50Hz electrical specification in line with Russian local power grid standards. Combined with the low climate characteristics of the mining area, the whole machine is upgraded with cold start preheating system, oil circuit and water circuit heat preservation measures to ensure reliable startup and stable output under ultra-low temperature conditions.
Project Positioning
Dual-unit mutual backup emergency power supply system for high-latitude mines, guaranteeing continuous power supply for mining equipment and safety auxiliary facilities throughout severe cold winter.
Equipment Features
- Baudouin engine matched with stable power performance, mature after-sales spare parts system
- Standard 400V 50Hz output, fully compatible with Russian industrial power distribution system
- Integrated preheating heating system for engine body, fuel tank and pipeline to solve cold starting problems
- Thermal insulation and anti-freezing optimization for water tank, lubricating oil and cooling pipeline
- Sealed and windproof cabinet design to reduce heat loss in open-air alpine working conditions
Project Significance & Challenges
Project Value
The low-temperature customized generator sets effectively solve the pain point of difficult startup and unstable operation of power equipment in Russia’s frigid mining areas, provide reliable power safety guarantee for mineral resource exploitation, and lay a foundation for further expansion in the Russian high-latitude energy and mining market.
Execution Challenges
Completed low-temperature simulation test in factory environment to verify preheating and anti-freezing effect; optimized unit control program to adapt to low-temperature lubrication and combustion characteristics; adopted anti-freeze and heat-preservation materials for pipeline and shell structure to adapt to long-term outdoor low-temperature operation in mining areas.
